Matt joined the bank as a commercial lender in 2003 with a B.S. degree in Math/Finance from Concordia University Wisconsin. He earned his MBA from Notre Dame University in 2017. Despite watching many of his classmates live life in the fast lane of bigger cities, Matt retained his desire to help develop his hometown of Sturgis and surrounding areas. Matt is on the board of directors for the Chamber of Commerce, Camp Fort Hill, Doyle Community Center, and Trinity Lutheran Church. He also coaches youth baseball and basketball. Outside of banking, Matt focuses his time on faith, family, and golf.

Bob Burch started at Sturgis Bank in 2020 and brought over 40 years of commercial banking experience with him. Bob serves as our Community President of Berrien County. He earned his Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University and graduated from the University of Wisconsin School of Banking. Bob moved to Sturgis Bank primarily because of his desire to work for a strong community bank versus a large regional bank. Bob has lived in St. Joseph for over 35 years, is married and remains extremely active in the St. Joseph community.

Joe serves commercial customers in St. Joseph, Benton Harbor, and the surrounding market. He has over 35 years of banking experience in Southwest Michigan, including commercial and retail lending, corporate treasury management, and credit analysis. Joe is a graduate of Western Michigan University with a bachelor’s degree in finance. He volunteers in a committee role for Junior Achievement of Northern Indiana (which also serves Berrien and Cass counties in Michigan). He has been active in his community, holding past leadership roles for Berrien County Cancer Service, the Senior PGA, and St. Joseph-Benton Harbor YMCA. Joe's office is located at 320 Main Street in downtown St. Joseph.

Thomas joined the bank in June of 2016 and gathered experience in multiple departments while he completed his bachelor’s in Business Management at Michigan State University. After graduation he followed his plan and returned home as a welcome addition to our Commercial Lending team. He serves as an Ambassador for the Sturgis area Chamber of Commerce while also being very active with local 4-H programs. Thomas is an avid outdoorsman and enjoys hunting and fishing on his free time as well as judging livestock shows and county fairs.

Patrick has been serving Michigan's great southwest in the financial services sector since 2010. The last seven years of his career were spent helping small & large businesses with their commercial banking needs. As someone who prides himself in being in the trenches with his business partners, Patrick's focus on relationships and understanding his clients is what sets h im apart. 

Outside of his career, Patrick also serves his community of Buchanan as a member of their City Commission. He's been focused on the vibrancy of the community's growing population & business base. Patrick and his wife Kirsten are proud to raise their three children in Buchanan - representing the fifth generation of the Swem family in their community.

Patrick received his Bachelor's in Business & Organizational Management from Bethel University. He attributes much of his success to being genuine and developing trust with those he has worked and served with over the years.

Camille Wilson joined the bank in 2002 and has over 22 years of banking experience in Commercial Banking and Residential/Consumer Banking. She is a proud WMU Bachelor of Science graduate and has completed multiple banking schools including Perry School of Lending, Perry School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking at University of Wisconsin, including a Certificate of Executive Leadership from the UW’s School of Business. In her spare time, she enjoys boating, gardening, reading and learning new things. Her next goal is to learn how to weld garden sculptures for the fun of it.

Nate started at Sturgis Bank & Trust in 2017 as a commercial lender. He graduated from Grand Valley State University in 2012 and spent several years in the Hospitality and Tourism industry before turning to banking. After nearly 10 years in Grand Rapids, MI- Nate and his wife Brittany decided to move back to their hometown of Sturgis to enjoy a slower-pace of life with their family. He volunteers his time on the Advisory Committee for the Sturgis Area Community Foundation, as a Board Member for the Sturges-Young Center for the Arts, and for many other community events throughout the year. Nate enjoys waterfowl hunting, golfing, working on classic cars, and spending time with his family.

Stephanie began her banking career in 1996 after graduating from Michigan State University. She is also a graduate of the Perry School of Banking and the MBA Commercial Lending School.

Raised in South Haven, Stephanie is committed to giving back to her community and making a difference in the lives of those who live and work in the area. One reason she joined the South Haven Banking Center in 2019 is because Sturgis Bank truly believes in the declaration “Let’s grow home."  Stephanie is actively involved in many local and city boards. She serves as Past President of South Haven Kiwanis Club, Chair for the City of South Haven’s Local Development Finance Authority and Brownfield Redevelopment Authority, and Secretary of the board of directors for Caring Circle of Corewell Health South. She enjoys spending time with her family, walking, reading, and baking.

Kip Miller has been a commercial relationship manager in Southwest Michigan for more than 23 years, working with clients to achieve their commercial and personal financial goals. Kip earned his Bachelor and Master’s degrees from Western Michigan University. He enjoys bringing customized solutions to his clients and says that the ability to make decisions locally is the most valuable aspect of banking with Sturgis Bank. He is currently the board president at the Cheff Therapeutic Riding Center, has held board leadership positions with Goodwill Industries, Residential Opportunities, Inc. and is a member of Guys Who Give of Kalamazoo County.  Kip says "In my spare time, I enjoy being outdoors, working on home projects, and spending time with my family."

Jack joined Sturgis Bank in 2022 with over 20 years of mortgage banking experience and was Mayor of Marshall from 2014 through 2018. Jack’s volunteer activities for the City of Marshall and Calhoun County are extensive. He is a member of the boards of directors for the Marshall Community Foundation, Marshall United Way, MAEDA, and Calhoun County Landbank; serves as Chair of the Heritage Commons Steering Committee; and volunteers as a Marshall Chamber of Commerce Ambassador. “I strive to work with first-time home buyers and seasoned homeowners that may need to move up or downsize in their home as life changes,” said Jack. “My passion is to find the right plan based on my client’s goals. There are a lot of options available, so providing helpful education for my clients is my first step.”
