eStatements

Reduce the risk of identity theft and mail fraud with eStatements from Sturgis Bank. Your account information is only accessible through the password-protected online banking portal. The electronic versions of your monthly account statements look like paper statements, but you view them online.

A VISA Check Card (also known as a debit card) from Sturgis Bank features:

• Cashier's Checks - Cashier’s checks offer a secure and reliable form of payment, as they are guaranteed by Sturgis Bank, making them less likely to bounce compared to personal checks. They are ideal for large transactions such as real estate purchases or vehicle sales where the recipient needs assurance that the funds are legitimate and immediately available.
   
• Foreign Drafts and Foreign Currency - Sturgis Bank offers the convenience of purchasing foreign currency locally, eliminating the need to search for exchange services while traveling. Customers can plan ahead with confidence, knowing they have the correct currency in hand before they even leave home. • Overdraft Protection - 

  Sturgis Bank offers two types of overdraft protection to help customers avoid declined transactions and overdraft fees. The first option is a sweep account, which automatically transfers available funds from a linked savings account to your checking account when needed. This seamless solution helps cover shortfalls without requiring any action from the customer and ensures everyday transactions are processed without interruption.

  The second option is a Demand Deposit Loan (DDL), which provides a line of credit linked to your checking account. When your balance falls below zero, funds are automatically advanced from the DDL to cover the overdraft. This option requires a credit application and approval, but once in place, it serves as a reliable backup for managing unexpected expenses or temporary cash flow gaps.
